Founder and Owner
About Bill Kidd: KCG Custom Home Builders was founded by Bill Kidd, whose journey in construction began as a laborer for a local builder. That early hands-on experience inspired him to pursue a degree in Construction Management from East Carolina University.
While at ECU, Bill completed the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program and then was commissioned into flight school. Bill was flying attack helicopters yet he was still working toward his goal of becoming a builder.
While serving as a superintendent for a local builder and learning the trade from the ground up, Bill deployed to Iraq. He returned home after being wounded, more determined than ever to build something meaningful, for his family and for others. That’s when KCG Custom Home Builders was born.
Kerri Kidd
Founder and Owner
Kerri Kidd is the heart behind the company’s mission. Kerri brings deep purpose and compassion to every aspect of the business. Her leadership is rooted in a genuine desire to serve others, which is a value she has also channeled into her non-profit organization, Unchained Heart Ministries. Kerri’s strong faith and commitment to people are an integral part of KCG’s everyday operations. Her presence ensures that their team is not just building beautiful homes, but that KCG is creating meaningful experiences grounded in trust, care and a higher purpose.

Dylan White
Project Manager
Dylan White joined the KCG team in the spring of 2023. He attended East Carolina University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. After graduating at the top of his class in 2023, Dylan began his career as a project manager here at KCG.
Originally from Chowan County, Dylan grew up on a family farm and has experience in construction work. With a background in farming and general construction, he developed a strong work ethic. Dylan’s attention to detail and dedication to excellence make him an asset to the KCG family.
When he is not turning trees to keys, Dylan can be found back on the family farm, spending time with his family or tending to his chickens.
Anne Grace Albritton
Interior Designer
Anne, KCG’s interior designer, has had a passion for design since she was a little girl arranging floor plans out of sticks in her yard. Prior to joining KCG’s team, she worked as a designer at Albritton Interiors in Greenville, owned her own furniture restoration and painting business where she rehabilitated over 400 pieces of antique and vintage furniture, and got her start in sewing and installing custom window treatments. She is also a watercolor artist who specializes in home portraits.
Anne is a proud graduate of the University of Virginia. In her personal life, she is a wife, mother of 4 children, and Gigi to 3 grandchildren. She is passionate about her faith and enjoys teaching Ladies’ Bible Study, co-leading a house church, and serving on the worship team as a singer and electric bass player. She and her husband David have led several church trips to Israel and Greece, and she is always looking forward to the next time she can return to the Holy Land.

I met Bill quite a few years ago when he purchased a boat from my Brother and I. We hit it of with many similar interest from fast cars to motocross. Along the way my brother purchased a house that Bill was building as a spec home and the home was impressive to say the least. Over the years knowing Bill he had asked me many times when I was going to let him build me a house. When that time came knowing the quality and attention to detail, I knew I had to give Bill and KCG a shot. Man… I couldn’t be more impressed. From the start Bill and Kerri take a personal interest in your project and it doesn’t end there. They are fully committed throughout the project. I can’t say enough about our project manager Dylan. His commitment to understanding what we, the customer were asking for and to the smallest of details are unmatched. Bill, Tanner, and Dylan have done a really great job of creating relationships with sub contractors as well that are all very courteous and highly skilled in their respective crafts. Since we are near the one-year mark of living in our new home, my wife and I would like to post our thoughts on working with Bill Kidd and KCG.
Building a new custom home is a challenge in the best of times. Building our dream retirement home from a distance of 1,800 miles and during the COVID-19 pandemic posed an even greater set of challenges. Throughout the process, Bill Kidd was great to work with. His passion, craftsmanship, and most importantly integrity were key to the success of this project. Our home’s design and execution reflect a close partnership between Bill Kidd and the Robinson family. We came to this project full of ideas and Bill Kidd worked with us on making them a physical reality.

We worked with KCG for two full bathroom remodels. The process was very easy. They were able to assist with design and handled all the planning/permits necessary. When the project started, they had arrived very promptly and one crew of subcontractors would arrive shortly after the one before would leave. It felt like a very well oiled machine. Tanner was very helpful in the onsite coordination and made sure things were up to our liking the whole time. The estimate ended up pretty close (within 10%) to what we expected to spend (including little upgrades we selected- ie swap from tub to full tile shower with glass.)

In January 2014 I moved into my new home built by Bill Kidd with KCG. Bill was extremely helpful during the entire building process; from making suggestions while reviewing plans, to designing cabinets and bookshelves around the fireplace. Great attention to detail.
